Donate Items to FCCR
Running a cat rescue requires a lot of time, money, and effort. So we need all the help we can get! The good news is there are many ways you can help. Donate money or goods! Volunteer your time! Become a Smitten with Kittens Member! Shop at one of the merchants who give a percentage back to us! Sponsor a Kitty! You can even recycle cartridges to help us earn money! Read on below or click on one of the links on the left to get all the details. And, as always, thanks for all you do to help us and the kitties!
Wish List
Keeping the cupboards stocked is always a
priority at the rescue. If you'd like to make
a donation we can always use the following items:
Click here to download a shopping list Why isn't dry cat food on the list? Because Natural Balance and Poudre Pet & Feed generously donate all of our dry cat food for free!!! They also supply us with 5lb bags to send home with all adopted kitties. Any dry cat food that is donated goes to feed feral cats in the area. Toys, Scratching posts and Kitty beds...Until further notice any toys, scratching posts and kitty beds must be able to stand up to being totally submerged in bleach water or be disposable. Toys: fuzzy leather mice take a beating when dumped in water. Cloth toys or plastic toys are the best. Scratchers: We have had to dispose of all of our cat trees because they cannot be thoroughly cleaned. Because kitties still need to scratch, we are going to cardboard scratchers which are disposable or can go home with a kitty when adopted. If you would like to donate a cardboard scratcher and are not familiar with them, take a peak at these two fun examples:

Recycle through Cartridges for Kids
Printer Cartridges, Cell Phones,
PDAs, Laptops, iPods, Video Games & Consoles and
Digital Cameras can all be recycled
through Cartridges for Kids to provide cash for the
rescue. Cartridges for Kids is a fundraising program for schools and non-profits throughout the country.
They are located in Loveland and have been in business since the late 80's.
Last year FCCR made over $400 by recycling cartridges! To donate your used cartridges just drop them by the rescue any time during adoption hours. Or, bring them by PETCO during our mobile adoption hours listed on the home page. (Please do not drop off cartridges any other times at PETCO, they are not collecting them for us!)
