Other Animals in Need
|
Because we are a no-kill
shelter with a limited amount of space, there will be times when we cannot take in other animals unless they are in a life-threatening situation. For owners who are looking to surrender a kitty because of changes in family situation or other reasons, we do maintain a waiting list. Owners on the waiting list may have their kitty's picture and description posted on this page. For prospective adopters - please remember these kitties are not at the shelter and we make no claim as to their health or the status of their medical upkeep. If you are interested in one of these kitties you must contact the owner listed on this page.

Sadie is a sweet, older kitty who needs a quiet home. She's been inside all of her life and not around any other cats/pets/children. She loves to be pet, but is not comfortable being held. If you are interested in giving Sadie the quiet, loving home she needs, please contact Kerri at pepekl@yahoo.com

Hi! My name is Sheba. I'm a spayed 6 year old female grey tiger cat who is very affectionate...and talkative! I like attention and give it back readily. I get along well with other cats and dogs. And I'm very healthy, current with all my shots! I have to find a new home because my owner has developed severe allergies and asthma due to my pretty fur. Won't you help? Email my owners at kusa2883@msn.com! Thanks! I'm looking forward to playing with you!

FREE TO THE RIGHT HOME: I’m a good boy. When I was a kitten, my owners moved away and left me. I roamed wild in my neighborhood for a year and then last October, a neighbor caught me. I was vaccinated, neutered, and tested for Feline Leukemia (which I do not have). Now I am two years old and learning to trust people again. I want to be a house cat. And I want a special owner…someone who knows about cats and is willing to love me, teach me, and be kind to me, especially when I am scared and defensive. Will you be my special owner? Please contact Linn Barrett at barrett@cira.colostate.edu or (970) 302-6253.

We have two, lovable, long hair females that need a good home. We would like to have them stay together if possible but understand that it is hard to find someone who is able to take two cats. They are both spayed and up to date on shots, they are indoor girls and are box trained. They are both still pretty young and can be very playful still. We do have some of their things which we will pass along with them. If you would like more information or are interested in one or both girls, please send us an e-mail at Phillips_Antiques@Yahoo.com.

Pooky, Schotzy, and Schnooky are in need of a new home. Their current family took them in when their first owner became allergic, but they don't get along well with the existing family cats and have to live separated. This along with several recent changes including plans to move to a new state are making it difficult for them to stay where they are. These guys are beautiful Siamese mix kitties. They are very friendly, love to snuggle and be petted. All three cats are inseparable and need to be adopted out together. They will come with a cat tower, 3-4 litter boxes, and some food. If you are interested in giving Pooky, Schotzy, and Schnooky a good loving home, please contact Drorit at 970-674-1484.

Handsome, very friendly neutered male. He is a stray who wandered up to our house, and we cannot keep him, we have too many already. He is neutered, NOT declawed, 13 lbs, and appears to be about 2 years old. We did take him to our vet and had him tested for all the cat stuff, he was negative, and had him vaccinated. He just needs boosters in another week or so. We also dewormed him. He is obviously a house cat, he just kept pestering us until we let him in (ok I'm soft-hearted!) and he seems to have no desire to go back out. He seems to do ok with our greyhounds, in fact they are a little scared of him! He chases our 3 female cats, thus the reason we cannot keep him. Please consider this wonderful cat-- he deserves a home! Contact Lanita at 970-568-3483.

My name is Furball. I am a very sweet, affectionate 6 year old, male neutered cat that gets along with other cats, and possibly with the right dog. I am currently living at Blue Sky Animal Clinic, but would love a home of my own. I have a special urinary diet that I must eat to stay healthy, so my new home would have to be willing to keep me on my special food. If you would like more information or to visit, please call Blue Sky Animal Clinic at 663-6046.

Spooky is a lovely little kitty. Her fur is medium length and as soft as a bunny rabbit and has never needed any special care or brushing. She is quiet and gentle and has never had any problems with scratching or her litter box. She gets along well with all cats. She has never met a dog, but I am sure she would hide from one if she did. Her only negative characteristic is that she is very timid. Once she gets used to her new owners she likes to be petted and scratched but never held. As a result, she hides a lot and runs away from loud noises or sudden movements. Spooky would like to find a nice forever home where she is understood and allowed to be who she is. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Please feel free to come visit her before you make a decision about adopting her. Contact Katy Quinn at 970-420-7982 or kquinn@lamar.colostate.edu.
