Because we are a no-kill
shelter with a limited amount of space, there will be times when we cannot take in other animals unless they are in a life-threatening situation. For owners who are looking to surrender a kitty because of changes in family situation or other reasons, we do maintain a waiting list. Owners on the waiting list may have their kitty's picture and description posted on this page. For prospective adopters - please remember these kitties are not at the shelter and we make no claim as to their health or the status of their medical upkeep. If you are interested in one of these kitties you must contact the owner listed on this page.

This is Rocky. He is a very sweet 8 year old boy who loves people, but isn't as thrilled with other cats. So he needs to find a home where he can be the only kitty.

This is Kiki. She is a healthy 6 years old tabby, spayed, not declawed. Vets said she is a little bit overweight but that hasn't been a healthy issue ever.

Hi, I am Maverick, a gorgeous 10 year-old registered Persian. I am healthy, declawed, neutered, and extremely well mannered. In August 2010, I had a complete checkup, including vaccinations and teeth-cleaning. I am a total sweetheart and love attention. I was adopted as a kitten into a single person home. Since then, I have unwillingly acquired a dog and two young children whom I am not fond of. I would do well in a home where I am the only "baby" in the house. Otherwise, I tend to hide constantly under the bed or in the closet. I also need to be placed in a home where I will be indoors ONLY as it is mighty hard to defend myself without claws. I come with litter box, carrier, bed, food bowls, and food bin.

Spooky is a 4 year old black female kitty. She is very sweet, but shy and will probably take a few days to warm up to a new family. She is very affectionate and likes to cuddle and sleep on your legs. She loves looking out windows, but has never been outside and seems to have no desire to go outside. She is up to date on all of vaccines and has had regular vet care. She is spade but not declawed (however, she does not claw anything but her scratching post). We need to find her a new home because my husband has developed allergies and because she has not really been happy since our toddler was born. She would probably be most comfortable in a home without children (or at least none younger than teenagers). She has never been around dogs but has lived with other cats most of her life, and enjoys their company as long as they accept her.

Vidalia is about 9 years old. She's playful, sweet and very devoted. She's a little shy but it won't take her long to warm up to someone and once this happens, she'll be on your lap and by your feet whenever she can. I've had her since she was a kitten but due to a change in my living situation, I'm not able to keep her. She's current on her shots, not declawed. I'd love to find a good home for her because she still has a lot of love to give and will worm her way into your heart.

Onyx is an 8 year old black kitty who is the sweetest cat I have ever had. She would like nothing more than to sleep on a comfy lap all day! We hate that we need to find her a new home, but she is very unhappy living in our house. She has a very strong personality and is obviously feeling stress due to our 4 year old, 8 month old, and other pets. She should be in a household without small children and without other animals, as she does not enjoying being chased. She is an indoor only cat, as she is declawed.

Simon is a 4 1/2 year old neutered male flame point Siamese. He has beautiful blue eyes. He is a big boy and very, very loving and affectionate. He is a bit more timid especially when there is a lot of chaos. He is strictly an indoor cat and would probably do best continuing to be one. He has been with us since he was 8 weeks old, but due to an upcoming move we are not able to take him and one of our other cats with us (see Oscar above). He has been around other cats, dogs, and babies/toddlers and is good with them - he will walk away if he gets tired of them. Simon would also do well in a home being an only cat with one or two peole to dote on him. Simon has to be on special prescription cat food to prevent formation of crystals in his urine. This is a very stressful time for our family, so we are hoping someone can give Simon (or both Simon & Oscar) a loving new home. Please email Simon's family at ingaannie@comcast.net.

Burlesque is a young, beautiful kitty. I don't think she is much over a year old. She is fine with our dogs and people of all ages. She seems fine with the other cats in the neighborhood, in fact she is afraid of some of them. Ideally she should be an inside kitty. I just want to find her a good home. This is Hazel. She is an 8 year old spayed female. She has been declawed (front) and is strictly an indoor kitty. She is great with people and kids, but not with other cats or dogs. All she wants to do is sit on your lap and be petted all day. She is a quiet and loving little kitty. Sebastian is a beautiful 9 year old, declawed, neutered, long haired, indoor male cat in great health. He just had a check up and rabies vaccine (and a recent teeth cleaning). He is good at keeping up with his hygiene and always uses the litter box. He is a VERY loving and affectionate guy. He is a wonderful COMPANION. These three kitties need good homes! All have a very good disposition and are very playful. They have never been outside; they have all been around dogs and children and are good with them. They are all spayed/neutered. Whiskey is the orange kitty. He is 7 years old and is very sweet but a little more independent than the other two kitties. Bocephus is a black and white tuxedo. He is around 6 years old. He's very, very sweet but a little shy. Daisy is around 7 years old. She's also very, very sweet and she loves attention. Poe and Superman are siblings who are about two years old, love to purr, and enjoy each other's company. Poe is all black with yellow-green eyes and her brother Superman, "Supe" for short, is mostly black with a white chin, tummy, and paws. They like to sleep on their cat bed (which comes with them for free!) and catch mice, flies and other bugs. They are still very young and youthful and like to chase one another and play with string toys, hair-ties, and other fun toys. They have only been indoor cats so far because we live on a heavy-traffic street, but Superman has expressed interest in being an indoor-outdoor cat and Poe might learn to like outside a bit as well. They like to scratch and play on our futon (also available for free if you want to take it with the kitties so they can continue to scratch and sleep on it) but otherwise don't tend to scratch other places. We have two litter boxes that you can have if you decide to bring Poe and Superman into your home.

Flora is a ten year old, female, small striped tabby with white paws. She has lived with other cats, dogs, and children, but prefers to be independent. She is lively and she is very low maintenance. She grooms her own short hair and is rarely brushed. Flora is very companionable. She loves to go outdoors and to sleep in the sun inside. She comes in at bedtime and is very affectionate in the evening. Flora has a lively young spirit and enjoys catnip and chasing a string. Flora needs a home because her family is moving to Australia. She will be missed very much. Please give Flora the home she needs. She is spayed and is up to date with routine shots and house trained. Sadie is a sweet, older kitty who needs a quiet home. She's been inside all of her life and not around any other cats/pets/children. She loves to be pet, but is not comfortable being held. FREE TO THE RIGHT HOME: I’m a good boy. When I was a kitten, my owners moved away and left me. I roamed wild in my neighborhood for a year and then last October, a neighbor caught me. Handsome, very friendly neutered male. He is a stray who wandered up to our house, and we cannot keep him, we have too many already. He is neutered, NOT declawed, 13 lbs, and appears to be about 2 years old. We did take him to our vet and had him tested for all the cat stuff, he was negative, and had him vaccinated. He just needs boosters in another week or so. We also dewormed him. He is obviously a house cat, he just kept pestering us until we let him in (ok I'm soft-hearted!) and he seems to have no desire to go back out. He seems to do ok with our greyhounds, in fact they are a little scared of him! He chases our 3 female cats, thus the reason we cannot keep him.
